Beethoven's inspiration abounds. One of Canada's most prolific composers, Gary Kulesha's 3rd symphony was directly inspired by Beethoven's 6th (Pastoral) and 7th symphonies. Beethoven's style is also clear in Brahms's 1st serenade. Katherine Chi returns to wow audiences in the concerto described as "pleasant to the ear and murder on the fingers!"
